The Algonquin Language and Culture Coordinator is responsible for developing a variety of educational materials for use at all levels of the Algonquin Language Program.

Other responsibilities of this program are to assist in the development of new Algonquin Language words and expressions to reflect new words in the English vocabulary of this age.

The Algonquin language is an integral part of the Kitigan Zibi School system with some teachers using it in their classroom to reinforce what students learn in the core Algonquin program that is offered to students Grade 1 to Secondary 2.

It is also offered in the afternoons for students who wish to take the Algonquin immersion while learning cultural values and arts & crafts.
