About Odekan

Odekan’s goal is to foster the growth and development of infants, toddlers, and preschool children. Our program is based on six main components: education, health, nutrition, cultural and language development, social support, and parental involvement.

Drop-in Day

We offer specific days when parents, grandparents, or childcare providers can drop in at Odekan to look at books on parenting, pamphlets, children’s books, relax and let children play.

Odekan will also have a list of resources and service providers within and around the Kitigan Zibi community for parents to access.

Sagabigoni Program - School Readiness

Designed specifically for three year olds.

Ensure the successful integration of young children into Kindergarten and Elementary levels of education

The program will involve the development of the whole child (social, physical, intellectual, cultural, emotional development).

Caregiver’s Afternoon Program

Parents, Grandparents, Guardians, or caregiver can drop off their young child in a safe and comforting environment in order to enjoy some personal time away from home.
